We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join a major HV substation construction project in Germany.
This is a site-based position suited to someone with a strong background in high-voltage substations, who has previously managed electrical installation and construction activities on complex power infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for overseeing electrical works on site, coordinating contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards
.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise electrical construction activities across HV substation projects.
- Coordinate electrical contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Oversee the installation of HV/MV equipment, switchgear, transformers, busbars, cabling and associated systems.
- Ensure works are completed in line with project specifications, drawings, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Commissioning teams, and other site disciplines.
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates on site activities.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with HSE requirements and German regulations.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues on site.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities where required.
- Manage site documentation, permits, method statements, and quality records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager / Electrical Construction Manager / Site Manager.
- Strong experience working on HV substation projects.
- Previous experience managing electrical installation and construction activities at high-voltage level.
- Experience coordinating multiple contractors and site teams.
- Strong understanding of substation construction, installation, and electrical systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently in a site-based environment.
Experience with projects involving 110kV, 220kV, 380kV or similar HV substations would be highly advantageous.
