Head of Product – DfAM Platform (m/f/d) in Zürich

Shape the future of design for additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing has unlocked geometries engineers could only dream of a decade ago, yet design software is still catching up. At Spherene, we're closing that gap. SphereneNXT, our browser-based engineering platform, generates high-performance internal architectures using our proprietary ADMS (Adaptive Density Minimal Surfaces) technology and a growing range of other advanced structure types such i.e. TPMS and beams. The technology is proven, customers are on board, the adoption is confirmed and a strong momentum is building fast.

Now we're looking for the person who will take SphereneNXT to the next level. This is your chance to own a product built on technology no one else has, and to define what engineers around the world will design with tomorrow. Reports directly to the CEO.

What you'll own

• The vision and the roadmap. You decide what SphereneNXT becomes. You turn innovation, customer insight, market trends and partner feedback into a bold, prioritized roadmap.
• Delivery from idea to launch. You translate the roadmap into clear specifications and get the right people building, whether that's our internal team, external developers, universities or technology partners. You lead the sprints and keep everything moving.
• Commercial success. Every feature you ship is one our customers will love and our sales team can sell. You work hand in hand with sales and our global reseller network on positioning, launches and pricing input.
• Technical leadership, engineering and innovation. You are Spherene's go-to expert for DfAM and engineering in AM. You keep us at the cutting edge by spotting emerging trends early and turning them into product advantages. You also drive our R&D, university and advisory board collaborations.

What you bring

Must have:

• An MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering or related fields to AM industry and/or metamaterials
• 3+ years in a product or engineering leadership role at a CAD, CAE or simulation software company for additive manufacturin (AM).
• Deep DfAM knowledge, including lattices and internal structures, topology optimization, simulation, 3D printing and the constraints of AM processes.
• Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship, or a valid Swiss work permit.
• You're at the forefront of DfAM innovation. You follow the latest research and industry developments closely and have a clear view of where the field is heading.
• A track record of taking software from roadmap to commercial release.
• Experience leading distributed internal and external teams.
• Professional fluency in English.
• You live in the Zurich area or are excited to relocate. The role is based at our headquarters in Glattbrugg close to the Zurich airport.

A big plus if you have

• Expertise in solid mechanics, generative design, and with implementation of AI
• German language skills.
