PhD Candidate – Machine Learning in Computer Vision (m/f/d – Full time)

In this role, you’ll:

1. Implement and integrate amazing machine learning solutions for our autonomous systems, including tasks like object detection, semantic segmentation, behavioral cloning or reinforcement learning in close collaboration with the university.
2. Conduct cutting-edge research in one of the following applied Robotics domains: Sensor-Fusion, SLAM, Perception, Behavioral Cloning, Motion Planning and Prediction, Environmental Modelling.
3. Research in one of the following tasks: Domain Adaptation, Self-Supervised Learning, Multiview-Multimodal Systems, Explainable Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Working with Sparse Data (Lidar, Radar).
4. Prepare for top ML conference publications.
5. Contribute to the company’s IP portfolio.

At a minimum, we’d like you to have:

1. M.Sc. degree in computer science or a related discipline (e.g., AI, machine learning, statistics, cognitive science, computational physics, applied mathematics) with strong programming skills and a solid background in machine learning, numerical simulation, artificial intelligence, or computational cognitive science.
2. Experience with one or more programming languages including but not limited to: C/C++, Python.

It’s preferred if you have:

1. Worked with ROS or similar.
2. Experience with real-time systems.
3. Experience in an agile project environment (SCRUM).
4. Software Continuous Integration Experience.
