Senior Sales Manager – Global Athlete & Team Marketing (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
- Drive international partnership sales across various sports such as Basketball, American Football, Soccer.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective new clients through multiple channels including phone, email, LinkedIn, networking events, and meetings.
- Provide advisory and guidance for (global) brands on the sports sponsorship landscape and development of tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Lead sales pitches with clients to understand objectives, build relationships, and secure revenue for the business (with occasional international travel).
- Provide regular updates in team sales meetings showcasing activity and pipeline development, business closed, and share insights for potential collaboration with other sales team members.
- Strengthen post-sales relationships to enhance renewal probability and identify cross-sales and upselling potential.
- Act as an ambassador for SPORTFIVE, maintaining high professional standards in all external engagements.
Your profile
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably from a sports team, league, or relevant property and/or agency experience.
- Proven track record in generating sponsorship revenues with several years of professional work experience (US sports sponsoring experience is a plus).
- A strategic and consultative sales approach, including the ability to create customized partnerships tailored to individual brands\‘ objectives.
- Outstanding sales communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience delivering high-quality pitches to senior decision-makers in English.
- Established network of brand contacts with the ability to expand relationships further.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams in fast-paced & time-sensitive environments.
- Fluency in both German and English is required for this role.
