What Will Your Role Be
As we continue to expand our business, we are seeking a curious and passionate individual to join our team as the Head of Commercial Planning & Markets (f/m/d) and drive our business forward.
To significantly grow our global flagship consumer brandSpreadshirt , we are investing in strengthening our market-facing organization. As a pivotal component, we are seeking theHead of Commercial Planning & Markets (f/m/d) who can significantly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our commercial activities at both global as well as local levels. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director, your mission is to propel commercial steering activities to the next level and to build a market organization from scratch. This is an exceptional opportunity for a leadership-experienced marketing professional with strong analytical and strategic acumen.
This role is full-time and offers the flexibility to work on-site (hybrid) at our Leipzig headquarters or in Berlin.
What You´ll Do
- Establish and drive growth planning processes to provide strategic guidance for market-facing activities, including customer cohort planning, target setting for new customer growth and retention, brand targets and prioritization among geographies.
- Manage budget allocation, expenditures, and forecasting for all market-facing activities to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Drive effective campaign planning and execution in collaboration with central marketing and creative teams including responsibility for the annual campaign calendar and campaign briefing processes.
- Implement robust performance monitoring frameworks and lead regular trading reviews to ensure alignment of market activities with growth and profitability goals, coordinating closely with central teams such as Performance Marketing, SEO, CRM, Social Media, and Category Management.
- Lead the planning and execution of promotional activities, while further sophisticating promotion strategies and impact measurement methodologies with the teams.
- Oversee the curation of engaging website content to enhance customer experience and highlight key product offerings.
- Build and lead a high-performing market team, including recruiting, mentoring, establishing effective and synergetic processes and tooling, while fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Develop tailored growth strategies for individual markets together with the market leads and oversee execution.
- Act as a key liaison between markets and central teams, ensuring that market-specific insights shape overarching strategies and initiatives.
What You´ll Bring
- Profound experience in commercial planning, trading, digital marketing, marketing controlling, or similar fields, preferably in B2C ecommerce environments with considerable experience in leadership roles. Experience as management consultant is a plus.
- Ideally a degree with a focus on Business, Marketing, MBA or a related field.
- Strong background in strategic marketing planning & steering, including the derivation of marketing goals and brand targets.
- Proven track record in establishing performance and trading reviews.
- Demonstrated ability to drive effective campaign planning, briefing and execution, ideally in a fashion & lifestyle retail environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex data sets and translate them into strategic initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen. Experience in managing P&L responsibility incl. budgeting and forecasting is a plus.
- Great leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and a dedication to achieving ambitious goals.
- Hands on working style with the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluency in English, additional language (s) a plus.
