At SQUER you will own design from problem to working prototype, directly with and for our clients. This is a consulting role – your impact unfolds directly with and for our clients. Your tasks
Product Discovery : Run human-centered research and usability tests to understand behaviors, pain points, and expectations, and turn findings into a clear point of view on which problem is worth solving. Build interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to explore ideas and validate them early, increasingly in code-based tools rather than static mockups. Design Execution : Own design across the lifecycle from discovery to implementation with autonomy and high quality, keeping consistency and alignment with the product vision. AI-assisted Work : Use AI tools to free yourself from execution work, so your attention goes to the decisions AI cannot make for you. Capturing Context : Turn design decisions into reusable context, constraints, and design-system rules the team and its tooling can build on, instead of one-off handover specs. Collaboration and Alignment : Partner with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders, and explain your design rationale confidently to clients and decision makers. Enabling Engineers : Help engineers take on a product-focused perspective through shared discovery and human-centered methods, so the team builds the right thing, not just builds faster. Your qualifications
Proven Design Practice : A track record of shipped products over 4+ years and across contexts (B2B, SaaS, or complex domain products a plus), with a portfolio that shows it. Tool Fluency : Proficient in Figma and Adobe Cloud, and fluent with prompt-driven UI tools (Claude Design, v0, Lovable). Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and React is a strong plus. Design System Literacy : Experience building and evolving design systems that scale across products. Product Judgment : You reason about whether the team is solving the right problem, not only whether the interface works. You can defend why something should be built, not just how. Communication : You explain design decisions clearly and bring people with you. Appetite for a Changing Role : You are drawn to a role that will keep shifting as AI takes over more of the production work, and you want your work to move toward judgment, problem framing, and product decisions. Consulting Mindset : Hands-on, pragmatic, solution-oriented, and able to thrive in dynamic client projects. Languages : Fluent in English and German. Your Benefits
