Head of Analysis (f/d/m)
Are you prepared to lead a talented team and shape the future of energy trading in a rapidly evolving market? We are looking for an experienced Head of Analysis to guide a skilled group of analysts and meteorologists, driving innovation and delivering critical insights to advance trading strategies.
Your Role:
Manage and inspire a high-performing team of 10+ specialists in analysis and meteorology.
Provide expert analytical support to various internal teams, empowering decision-making across trading desks, risk management, and other business areas.
Take a leading role in advancing Green Energy trading by building on existing capabilities in quantitative modeling, weather forecasting, and energy market projections.
Oversee the development and refinement of key quantitative models, including those for Forward Curves, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Swing contracts, and Storage optimization.
Contribute strategically to trading initiatives, risk management approaches, and algorithmic trading projects.
Set priorities and identify opportunities for innovation within both established and emerging areas of energy analysis.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance technical platforms and tools for modeling and analysis.
Ensure the quality and accessibility of market data while managing vendor relationships and data infrastructure.
About You:
You hold a Master’s or PhD in a related discipline.
You bring at least 7 years of experience in energy trading or a closely related field.
You have a proven track record of leading and developing teams, as well as successfully managing projects.
Your leadership style is hands-on and collaborative, with a focus on fostering growth and performance.
You have expertise in renewable energy, power, and gas markets, as well as trading dynamics.
Your skills include quantitative analysis, fundamental modeling, and leveraging digital solutions.
Familiarity with programming and IT project management is highly desirable.
You are fluent in English, with additional language skills considered an advantage.
