Senior Data Scientist

My client in the retail domain is currently searching for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Germany.

As a Data Scientist, you\’ll operate at the intersection of mathematics, programming, and infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in constructing robust big data architectures and devising the most fitting algorithms.

Your Responsibilities

1. Create mathematical models in machine learning and statistical learning
2. Find the sweet spot between modern AI techniques and tried-and-true classic methods, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.
3. Develop systems for optimization and \“experiment planning\“ that uncover optimal strategies for each product.
4. Implement model validation (backtesting) methods to quantify the impact of our solutions on our clients\‘ businesses, ensuring precision.
5. Collaborate closely with product management, swiftly transforming ideas into efficient, well-tested code (primarily using R and Python).
6. Contribute to the development of highly scalable solutions in collaboration with our engineering team.

Skills Required :

• A degree in either computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or economics or a comparable field
• Proficiency in mathematics, including multivariable calculus and linear algebra
• Adeptness in statistics, covering probability, regression models, and hypothesis testing
• Software development using python, preferably in cloud-based environments
• Familiarity with libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Statsmodels; PySpark familiarity is a plus
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks
