Overview
Lead the architecture, development, and modernization of enterprise LIMS platforms using SAPIO/LabVantage, Java, and cloud technologies. Partner with laboratory and healthcare stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, development, and implementation of SAPIO LIMS and/or LabVantage.
- Translate laboratory requirements into workflows, integrations, and data models.
- Optimize sample management, testing, results, approvals, and exception workflows.
- Design integrations with laboratory instruments, healthcare systems, ELN, SDMS, CDS, and enterprise platforms.
- Develop and oversee REST APIs, microservices, business rules, and platform extensions.
- Establish development standards, architecture governance, and technical best practices.
- Lead architecture/code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and technical quality.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA , data integrity, and security.
- Support CSV activities including URS, FRS, traceability, IQ/OQ/PQ, and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- 8 years of software engineering or enterprise application development.
- Strong Java, Spring, and Spring Boot experience.
- Hands-on SAPIO LIMS and/or LabVantage experience.
- Python development using Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Experience leading LIMS implementations, upgrades, or modernization programs.
- Healthcare, clinical laboratory, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or biotech experience.
- Strong REST APIs, microservices, backend architecture, and system integration skills.
- AWS and/or Azure experience.
- Strong SQL/NoSQL, data modeling, and enterprise integration experience.
- Experience with architecture reviews, RCA, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of CSV, GxP, regulated SDLC, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred
- SAPIO LIMS/LabVantage modernization or enterprise implementation experience.
- AWS/Azure cloud experience.
- Python with Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
