SRS EcoTherm GmbH is a joint venture between RWE (90%) and H&R (10%), operating the Thermal Waste Treatment Plant in Salzbergen (TAS) and managing the industrial power plant (IKW) for H&R Chemisch-Pharmazeutische Spezialitäten GmbH. The company focuses on waste disposal and energy supply for H&R’s production facilities, utilizing combined heat and power generation to provide process heat and electricity. Annually, TAS incinerates approximately 120,000 tons of household and commercial waste.
