Senior QA Software Engineer

The QA Software Engineer has solid software development skills to create, deploy and operate various automated test infrastructure components. A thorough understanding of clean software design and architecture is essential, and you should be familiar with reviewing a production codebase. You play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our internal quality assurance frameworks, facilitating their adoption through to our product teams.

• Our platform is built with React.js, Javascript, Typescript, Kotlin, Go, Java, MongoDB, Terraform, and Docker, to name a few.
• As a QA Software Engineer , you should be familiar with some test approaches like unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, or visual regression tests.

We use toolings like Github Actions, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, Sonarcloud, or Grafana to build our QA infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing

• You\’ll be responsible for improving and developing our test frameworks focusing on customer-facing frontends, including native apps, and our RESTful web services.
• Work in a dedicated QA infrastructure team and produce high-quality tools and guidelines for our product teams.
• Give and receive valuable feedback in our code review process and continuously learn and share knowledge with your peers.
• Being open to feedback and taking ownership of your work are essential.
• Take ownership of the topics you care about, ranging from the services you produce to the documentation of our work and the environment we work in.
• You work iteratively, frequently pushing code, ensuring a good CI/CD pipeline, and automating where possible.

What you need to be successful

• Passionate about Software Quality, the services you build, and seeking to make a difference.
• You value quality as well as clean code and learning new things. Additionally, you are passionate about Test Driven Development.
• Experience in our product tech stack (e.g., Typescript or Kotlin) and QA toolings (e.g., Github Actions and Playwright). Good understanding of REST principles and Microservices.
• Ideally, you have worked with MongoDB, Terraform, and Docker before.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Preferably, you have worked in an agile environment before.
• Good English communication skills.
• Understanding and appreciation of diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
