We're supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturer that is investing heavily in its people, equipment, and manufacturing capability.
They're looking for a Maintenance Team Lead to lead a team of approximately 12 technicians and help build a proactive, high-performing maintenance function.
Responsibilities include leading daily maintenance operations, developing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, managing SAP PM/EAM, improving reliability and downtime performance, coaching the maintenance team, working closely with Production, Engineering and Quality, and supporting future capital projects.
We're interested in candidates from pharmaceutical, biotech, food & beverage, automotive, chemical or utilities backgrounds who have strong maintenance leadership experience, SAP knowledge, reliability expertise and experience in regulated manufacturing.

- Leadership: You will provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the maintenance team in their daily operations, ensuring their ongoing training and professional development.
- Strategic Planning: You will hold budget responsibility for the strategic planning and coordination of all work on equipment and buildings. Your primary goal is to ensure optimal technical availability and the safety of all plants and site facilities.
- Compliance & Safety: Working with your team and in coordination with specialist departments, you will ensure the timely, compliant, and safe implementation of all maintenance tasks, including mandatory safety and legal inspections.
- Maintenance Programs: You will own the technical aspects of the maintenance program.
- Collaboration & Reliability: You will work closely with all levels of Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to identify critical equipment using established methods and to establish or adapt preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- KPI Analysis: Together with Engineering, you will establish, monitor, and analyze maintenance KPIs to identify and resolve reliability issues concerning equipment and facilities.
- Capital Projects: You will support equipment design for new acquisitions, specifically regarding accessibility, spare parts stocking, and the selection of specific components.
What You Bring
- Education: Technical training, ideally with further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister), Certified Technician, or a comparable qualification.
- Expertise: Ideally, experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering.
- Experience: Practical leadership experience, backed by relevant qualifications.
- Technical Skills: Very good German and good English skills; proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Business Acumen: Fundamental knowledge of business administration.
- Quality Standards: Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Methodology: Insight into relevant quality techniques (e.g., risk analysis or CAPA/measures management).
- Soft Skills: A process- and result-oriented, assertive, and communicative team player with excellent self-organization.
- Mindset: A high degree of personal responsibility, flexibility, commitment, and strong safety awareness.
