Mission

The International Business Development and Key Account Manager (IBD&KAM) is a strategic role responsible for driving the growth and expansion of STANLEY/STELLA into new international markets. This role requires a strong understanding of global business trends and market dynamics within the B2B Imprint Market, a deep understanding of the company's products, and the ability to strategically engage, build and maintain relationships with partners and customers across different cultures and regions. The IBD&KAM will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, implementing market entry strategies, and achieving revenue targets. The IBD&KAM will also have direct ownership of the relationship management for our UK Wholesaler.

The International Business Development and Key Account Manager (IBD&KAM) is instrumental in maintaining and growing the company's most valuable client relationships across borders. Success in this role hinges on the ability to develop strategic partnerships, effectively address client needs, and collaborate closely with both internal teams and clients to drive mutual success.

Main responsibilities

  • Market Entry Planning: Develop and execute market entry plans, which may include market assessments, regulatory compliance, distribution channel development, and localized marketing strategies. Adapt business models to suit specific market requirements and customer preferences.
  • Partnership and Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with distributors, agents, partners, and key stakeholders in target markets. Serve as the primary point of contact for designated international key accounts. Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, understanding their objectives and challenges. Collaborate with international partners to develop mutually beneficial business plans and strategies.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales efforts in international markets, including direct sales, partnerships, and collaborations. Collaborate with clients to develop tailored account strategies that align with their business goals and leverage the company's offerings. Set and achieve sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed. Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets for assigned key accounts. Monitor account performance and take proactive measures to drive growth.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closing: Lead negotiation processes with international partners, distributors, and clients to secure favourable agreements. Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures, ensuring mutual satisfaction and adherence to company policies. Ensure compliance with legal and contractual terms while safeguarding the interests of the company.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment with international growth strategies and seamless delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously gather intelligence on industry trends, competitive activities, and market changes to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into international business development efforts, achievements, challenges, and future plans.

Your profile

You have a university degree, Bachelor/Master level in Business or Marketing and a minimum of 10 years' experience in International Business Development and Key Account Management. Strong business acumen with a keen understanding of client relationship dynamics. Knowledge of the textile industry is preferred. Customer centric, creative and proactive attitude. Ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones. You have a strong awareness of the challenges of sustainable development. Strong communication skills as well as problem solving and analytical thinking skills. Fluent English. French and other relevant languages is a strong plus.
