Who we are looking for State Street Bank International Markets Compliance team seeks a Compliance Officer, VP to support the oversight of and provide advice and guidance related to the suite of products and services provided by State Street Bank International Gmb H Markets, Treasury and Credit Finance divisions.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for providing oversight over all compliance risks for Currency Management, Partnered Trading, Securities Finance, Treasury and Credit Finance divisions, as well as the specific underlying business units.

The position is part of the broader Global Markets Compliance team and will be performed in a hybrid model in Frankfurt or Munich, Germany.

What you will be responsible for As Compliance Officer - Markets, VP, you will: Deliver the advisory Compliance Program for the business units in scope.

Support the successful and timely completion of the oversight program, including the identification and resolution of risks and issues which impact compliance program delivery, while building strong relationships with compliance and business colleagues.

Independently conduct assigned responsibilities within the overall Compliance function and execute a range of complex tasks and analyses to support business unit and department goals.

Provide regulatory advice for the product suite of Markets and the marketing thereof across the EU and into overseas jurisdictions.

Review and assess the impact of new regulations and work collaboratively with impacted business areas to implement necessary changes.

Engage in advocacy and industry discussions.

Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of policies and regulations as they align with the corresponding business units, including new regulations affecting the business units.

Provide challenge to the business regarding regulatory adherence, including communication of required corrective actions to senior management.

Identify and escalate potential and/or actual breaches of firm or regulatory requirements and assist in the development and/or implementation of required remedial actions.

Support drafting and maintaining policies and procedures, as well as corresponding training.

Cooperate with the broader Global Markets, Global Treasury and Global Credit Finance Compliance team.

Actively participate in the review of new business initiatives, products and services, including Requests for Proposal and marketing materials, to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are addressed, as applicable.

Prepare the business for and assist with regulatory and third-party examinations, as well as lead direct interactions with regulators.

Required experience and education: Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services, preferably within a compliance or legal function.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree, legal studies or experience with Markets businesses preferred.

Good regulatory understanding, especially Ma Risk, Ma Comp, Mi FID, MAR requirements and their EU implementation.

Strong understanding of policies, procedures and controls.

Project management experience operating successfully in a cross-functional team environment.
