Why Statkraft?

Statkraft has been making clean energy possible for over a century. We envision a world that runs entirely on renewable energy. Because in the fight against climate change, we do not see renewable energy as part of the solution – we believe it must be the solution. With us, you will shape a career that is truly forward-facing with many amazing opportunities and offerings to match.

But there is more work to be done – that is why we need you to join!

Reporting to the German Senior Compliance Officer, you will work together with the rest of the team to continuously develop the compliance programme, provide support to ensure that the company complies with the increasingly demanding legislative frameworks and actively mitigates the risks we face in different markets. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Integrity due diligence reviews: Conduct integrity due diligence reviews of potential partners for different business areas.
  • Compliance legal advice: Provide legal advice on compliance-related matters (anti-corruption, sanctions, AML/Fraud, general compliance matters such as Conflict of Interest, Gifts & Hospitality) in Germany and Poland.
  • Training and communication activities: Deliver business ethics and anti-corruption training programs and contribute to communication initiatives.
  • Support for M&A and investment projects: Provide analytical and advisory support on strategically important M&A and investment projects.
  • Risk assessment and support for mitigation: Support management to assess corruption and compliance risks and design mitigation steps.
  • Compliance Programme: Support the compliance unit in further developing Statkraft’s compliance programme, controls and requirements.

There is a requirement for travelling from time to time.

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, Business Administration or comparable qualification.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in compliance, anti-corruption and anti-fraud investigations, internal audit, risk assessments and/or Business Partner Due Diligence/KYC.
  • Fluency in German and English is required (written and spoken); Polish would be an advantage.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude, good business judgement, and high flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to deliver within set timeframes.
  • Personal integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Experience in working in an international company and project-management experience in an international context is advantageous.

A career with Statkraft is filled with purpose – meaning that every employee is not just making a living, they are making a real difference to the planet, our communities and the future. Together, we work on the front lines of changing the game for renewable energy.

Statkraft\’s vision is to renew the way the world is powered. We actively work to be a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome all applicants regardless of background, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnicity, nationality or disability.

Please note: Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. We conduct background checks on qualified applicants before hire.
