Our AI Development department serves as a facilitator for Data & AI transformation. We are taking a holistic approach, from the initial evaluation of AI maturity, through the design and development of data and AI solutions, to the practical implementation and scaling of AI solutions. Through our deep expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, we ensure that our clients gain the maximum value from their data.

Responsibilities

• As part of customer projects, you design Generative AI and NLP systems that effectively address customer challenges and use cases in terms of performance, latency, cost, scalability, and complexity.
• In your role, you regularly engage with various stakeholders and customer representatives, ensuring close collaboration and alignment.
• You act as a developer, expert, or technical lead and work on diverse use cases, such as knowledge management with retrieval-augmented chatbots, implementing agent systems, or fine-tuning language models to enhance the efficiency of an NLP pipeline or process domain-specific language.
• As a Technical Lead, you guide less experienced team members, support their work, and provide constructive feedback and mentorship.
• Additionally, as an expert, you contribute to multiple projects as needed to solve complex problems.
• You plan and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance ML pipelines following the latest ML Ops and LLM-Ops best practices, working across various infrastructures, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Furthermore, you support the development of products, contribute to expanding our service portfolio, and assist in creating marketing content.
• You present solution proposals and handle technical communication with customer representatives during the acquisition process.
• To offer the best possible solutions to our customers, you also dedicate time to staying up to date with the latest developments in NLP and AI – such as new repositories, methodologies, tools, and research papers.

Your profile

• You have extensive knowledge in Machine Learning & Deep Learning, particularly regarding Transformers, LLMs, and Generative AI, as well as experience in the production use of ML frameworks, especially PyTorch.
• You bring at least 4 years of experience applying common tools and methods for NLP use cases, such as Transformers, OpenAI APIs, SentenceTransformers, Tokenizers, Deployment, high-performance inference, and dataset creation.
• You have solid theoretical knowledge and ideally practical expertise in state-of-the-art AI approaches, including QLoRA PEFT, automated prompt optimization, (multi-)agent systems, open-source models, code LLMs, multimodal approaches, post-training & IFT, test/inference-time optimizations, and the generation of synthetic datasets.
• You are able to write clean, efficient, and scalable code and deploy it to production.
• You have strong competency in designing and implementing AI solution architectures, including comprehensive end-to-end implementations.
• You are skilled in providing technical guidance and leadership, including mentoring and supporting team members.
• You have extensive expertise in cloud deployments and ML-Ops workflows on platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• You are also a strong communicator with very good German and English skills (at least C1 level) and are able to prepare and present complex topics in a way that is appropriate for the respective target group (business, tech).
• Additionally, you stand out for your reliability, thoroughness, and structured approach to work.
• Lastly, you enjoy occasional business trips to visit our customers on-site in DE/AT/CH.
