Fleet Operations Manager (Autonomous Vehicles) (m/f/d) in Berlin

We are an early-stage team building a new company at the intersection of Physical AI and autonomous mobility operations in Europe.

We are preparing for our first deployments and are looking for someone with direct AV fleet experience to help shape how autonomous fleets are operated locally.

The role

You will help build our fleet operating model from the ground up, with ownership across vehicle readiness, uptime, maintenance, asset health and operational performance. This is a hands-on role. You should be comfortable both defining the operating standard and getting directly involved when something needs to be solved on the ground.

The role can initially be flexible or freelance, with the opportunity to grow into a core full-time leadership position.

What you’ll work on

• Define fleet readiness, uptime and maintenance standards
• Build inspection, defect and return-to-service processes
• Prepare and onboard vehicles for our first deployments
• Define fleet KPIs, cost baselines and asset-health reporting
• Manage maintenance, repair and fleet-service partners
• Improve vehicle availability and preserve asset value
• Help build site and depot operating processes
• Work with the technology team on tooling, data and automation
• Turn early deployments into a repeatable fleet operating playbook

About you

• Direct experience with AV fleets, AV deployments or on-road autonomous operations
• 3+ years in fleet operations, automotive operations or mobility
• Strong understanding of uptime, maintenance and vehicle readiness
• Experience building fleet processes and managing operational partners
• Comfortable working with fleet data, KPIs and cost structures
• Hands-on and comfortable building from scratch
• Fluent English. German is highly valuable

Experience with robotaxi programs or commercial AV deployments is particularly relevant.
