Cyber Security – Germany | Remote Opportunity We are hiring for one of our clients for a Cyber Security opportunity in Germany. The role is suited to security professionals who are interested in protecting digital infrastructure, identifying security risks, monitoring threats, and supporting the implementation of effective cybersecurity controls. Role Overview The successful candidate will contribute to cybersecurity operations by identifying vulnerabilities, analyzing security events, supporting risk management initiatives, and helping strengthen the organization’s overall security posture. The role involves working across security tools, systems, networks, and processes to detect and respond to potential threats. Key Responsibilities • Monitor security events, alerts, and system activities to identify potential threats or suspicious behavior. • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation of identified security weaknesses. • Analyze security incidents and assist with investigation, containment, and resolution. • Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls across systems, applications, and networks. • Perform security log analysis using SIEM and other monitoring platforms. • Identify potential risks and security gaps and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. • Assist with threat intelligence activities, including researching emerging vulnerabilities and attack techniques. • Support incident response procedures and contribute to security incident documentation. • Conduct security assessments and help evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls. • Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to address security-related issues and improve system protection. • Assist with access management, authentication controls, and identity security processes. • Support security testing, vulnerability scanning, and remediation tracking. • Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, assessments, controls, and procedures. • Contribute to security awareness initiatives and help promote secure technology practices across the organization. • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, attack methodologies, and industry practices. Core Requirements • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, information security, and risk management. • Knowledge of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network protocols. • Familiarity with vulnerability assessment, security monitoring, and incident response processes. • Understanding of common cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques. • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, access control, and identity management concepts. • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls. • Ability to analyze security logs, alerts, and technical information. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and a security-focused approach to technical challenges. • Ability to communicate security findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills • Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, or similar tools. • Familiarity with cloud security across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. • Knowledge of penetration testing and security assessment methodologies. • Understanding of endpoint detection and response solutions. • Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms and security scanning tools. • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. • Familiarity with security operations, threat hunting, or digital forensics. • Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, CISSP, or equivalent credentials are an advantage.
