The Service Technician contributes to the organizational goals by being responsible for providing technical support to our customers and is required to achieve and maintain high efficiency on Krones production lines.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure that Krones machinery performs efficiently
- Conduct equipment audits and overhauls
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Coach customers on operational and maintenance activities
- Communicate and interact with clients, technicians, subsidiaries, and KSA / KAG office
- Fault find in a logical and professional manner
- Attend to breakdowns telephonically and physically
- Willingness to work overtime and night shifts
- Travel to customers nationally and internationally
- Conduct performance acceptance tests at customer sites
- Provide intervention reports
- Installation and commissioning of single and complete packaging lines
Your Profile
- National Diploma or N6 with trade certificate; a degree in industrial automation will be advantageous
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a Field service role in the beverage industry
- Knowledge of Krones portfolio of machines
- Knowledge of Automation (Siemens S7 & TIA Portal), motion controls (B&R, Danfoss, SEW), Krones Inspection machines, Dry end, and general electrics
- Strong technical knowledge of FMCG / machine packaging
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Supervisory experience will be an advantage
- Ability to install and commission packaging machines
