Role Description This is a part-time Writer role based in Berlin, Germany, with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. The Writer will create clear, engaging content about IoT-powered vending, customer interaction technologies, and related innovations for digital and print channels. Day-to-day tasks include researching industry trends, drafting and revising articles, blog posts, case studies, and marketing copy, and tailoring content to different audiences and platforms. The Writer will collaborate with founders and other stakeholders to refine messaging, ensure consistency of tone and style, and meet agreed deadlines. The role also includes light editing, proofreading, and adapting existing content for new formats such as social media posts, newsletters, and presentations.
Qualifications
- Strong writing and storytelling abilities, with experience crafting clear, concise, and engaging content in English.
- Research skills to understand technical concepts (e.g., IoT, digital customer experiences) and translate them into accessible language.
- Editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy, coherence, and a consistent voice across all materials.
- Familiarity with digital content formats (blogs, social media, newsletters, basic marketing copy) and audience-focused messaging.
- Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours effectively, and meet deadlines in a hybrid work setting in Berlin.
- Interest in technology, IoT, or customer experience innovation; prior experience in tech, startups, or vending/retail is a plus.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in Writing, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
