STERIS MISSION

STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) provides contract sterilization, laboratory testing, and product and packaging testing services to manufacturers of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and industrial products.

University Graduate Scheme

This scheme is exclusively for university graduates and is designed to develop future leaders of the business. During the graduate scheme, you will report to a member of the leadership team and conduct a variety of projects both within your field and for other departments.

The STERIS AST graduate scheme supports roles in various disciplines, including, but not limited to, Operations, Commercial, Technical, and Process Engineering.

As a graduate, you will complete various rotations as part of the program to experience different sites and cultures, and learn about the different AST service offerings, including X-ray, gamma, ethylene oxide, E-beam, VHP, and laboratory testing.

Graduates may also complete rotations in business support functions such as Commercial, Marketing, and Human Resources. These rotations could involve relocating from your home country to one of our sites across the UK, Europe, or Asia.

The STERIS graduate scheme follows a two-year structured development program. A successful graduate scheme will lead to a permanent role at STERIS.

What you will do

We are looking for ambitious graduates who bring enthusiasm, drive, and fresh thinking to help propel the business forward. You will undertake a series of project-based assignments, each lasting up to 12 months, and will experience a variety of job roles. This role will be located for the first 12 months in Radeberg and will include visits to other sites in Bitterfeld, Höchstadt an der Aisch, and Allershausen. There will be another 12-month rotation.

• Analysing and processing data related to site processes.
• Interpreting information and presenting it clearly to management.
• Making suggestions for process optimization.
• Delivering projects to increase efficiencies.
• Engaging directly with high-profile clients.
• Contributing to the development of our culture of Lean and Continuous Improvement.
• Learning how to effectively manage Health and Safety.
• Gaining an in-depth understanding of the irradiation process and sterilization industry.

Required Education

• A recent university degree.
• Fluent in German and English.
