Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deal coordination: Serve as the central project manager for multiple live mandates, orchestrating the end-to-end execution process and ensuring seamless coordination between clients, buyers, and legal advisors.
  • Technical oversight: Oversee the preparation of sophisticated financial engineering and valuation outputs, ensuring the highest level of analytical rigor in DCF, LBO, and transaction benchmarking performed by Analysts and Associates.
  • Client interface: Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for client management teams, providing tactical advice and leading the preparation of management presentations and board-level materials.
  • Process architecture: Lead the design and management of complex due diligence workstreams, managing virtual data rooms (VDRs) and coordinating the interface between legal, tax, and accounting workstreams.
  • Franchise growth & engagement: Support the strategic expansion of our franchise in Frankfurt by making significant contributions to our recruitment efforts as well as high-impact local events for C-suite executives and the private equity community.
  • Candidate Profile
  • Education: A top-tier Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with outstanding academic results in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business field is required; an MBA or CFA designation is highly regarded.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of relevant investment banking or M&A experience is required, with a demonstrable track record of successfully executing transactions in the industrial or business service sectors.
  • Technical skills: Advanced mastery of transaction structuring and financial modeling; deep proficiency in leveraging financial databases such as Pitchbook and Capital IQ to drive transaction insights.
  • Analytical rigor: Exceptional commercial judgment with the ability to transition from granular financial data to high-level strategic narratives for key clients.
  • Language: Business fluency in German (C2 level) and professional proficiency in English are essential for managing DACH-based mandates and international cross-border transactions.
  • AI aptitude: Leverage bespoke AI platforms. Stifel has invested heavily in modern data architecture and AI-driven banking workflows to provide a competitive edge in advisory.
  • Soft skills: Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple high-intensity workstreams while building trust with senior executives.
