For our location in Backnang, we are looking for you as:

Head of Supply Chain Operations (m/f/d)

What You'll Do

• You will assume technical and managerial responsibility for the employees under your supervision and work to develop their potential in a targeted manner.




• You will be responsible for the division's results, budget, and costs, and will manage it using relevant key performance indicators.




• You will ensure medium- and long-term demand, capacity, and utilization planning, as well as cost-effective workforce planning.




• You are responsible for supply chain operations at the Backnang location, including order processing, high-level production planning, shipping, and the vehicle fleet.




• You are responsible for the overall management of the planning and control process and coordinate it closely with the relevant departments.




• You manage production control and detailed planning and ensure smooth order and delivery processing.




• You are responsible for production plan variances, coordinate recovery plans, and ensure effective internal and external escalation management.




• You are responsible for managing the finished goods warehouse as well as customer EDI processing, and you ensure their reliable and timely execution.




• You analyze relevant key performance indicators such as finished goods inventory, delivery and production reliability, order backlogs, recovery cases, and special transport costs, and derive appropriate measures from them.




• You optimize costs, inventory, and resources throughout the value chain and continuously improve operational processes.




• You ensure that employees have the necessary qualifications, receive the required instruction and training, and comply with relevant processes, guidelines, and occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.




• You represent stoba at important meetings and in escalation cases, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Production, Supply Chain Services, Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, IT, Controlling, customers, and service providers.

What you bring with you

• You have a degree in economics, logistics, or a comparable field.




• You have at least five years of professional experience in logistics, production planning, or customer management, as well as at least three years of experience in production and logistics management.




• You have leadership experience as well as experience in the financial management of a specific area of responsibility.




• You have extensive experience in planning and managing production and logistics processes, ideally using SAP.




• You have strong skills in KPI analysis and can use this to identify appropriate optimization measures.




• You have strong IT skills and are proficient in using relevant planning systems.




• You are familiar with the relevant legal and technical regulations and standards for your area of responsibility.




• Your continuing education and training are up to date with the latest developments in the field.




• You have business-level proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus.
