Job Description Summary
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Career Ambassadors serve as liaisons to Stonehill College students and the Career Development team. They represent our team and encourage engagement through workshops, programs and campus-wide initiatives. Career Ambassadors also offer paraprofessional career development support through one-on-one appointments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CAMPUS OUTREACH: Career Ambassadors will work to establish relationships with campus partners to offer workshop opportunities in residence halls or classrooms. In addition, Career Ambassadors will represent our office at campus-wide events and coordinate outreach opportunities throughout campus.
RESUME LABS: Career Ambassadors will independently run Resume Labs from 6pm-8pm on a Monday or Wednesday evening to provide evening access to resume and cover letter assistance.
STUDENT APPOINTMENTS: Career Ambassadors will facilitate one-on-one appointments with students for resumes/cover letters and mock interviews.
FRONT DESK COVERAGE: Career Ambassadors will [each] manage the front desk in the Career Development Center for 2-6 hours per week. This includes managing our office phone, emails and other administrative duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
· Rising sophomore, junior or senior
· Eligible to serve in the role for the entire 2024-2025 academic year (August 2024 – May 2025)
DESIRED SKILLS
· Must be self-motivated and willing to confidently engage crowds of students
· Flexible schedule to facilitate evening programs/outreach
· Public speaking and administrative skills preferred
· Actively incorporate new and improved content and methods of outreach
