Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager • Full Remote

My client is building products that will have a positive impact on society and the environment and they are looking for an Engineering Manager who has a demonstrable background in driving the strategy/roadmap and has experience in scaling teams. This is a people leadership role where you will oversee more than one team. You will have full autonomy and be responsible for the growth and hiring strategy, in line with the business needs and creating high performing company culture.

Responsibilities

• Within this position as the EM, you will oversee 3-4 teams
• You will be a key player in engineering leadership, ensuring smooth integration between teams and departments
• You will work closely with the CTO, EMs, and Architects to implement the technical vision and product strategy from end to end
• Demonstrate software architecture knowledge, create and drive the product strategy and roadmap from end to end
• Demonstrate software architecture knowledge, delivering innovative solutions for business impact
• You will also have full autonomy in the growth of your department and hiring strategy

Profile

• At least 3+ years of professional experience as an Engineering Manager
• You have a proven track record of people management, and a track record of developing/scaling agile software development teams
• You are a strong leader who is an advocate empowering their teams
• IT / Technical Background – Knowledge of Technology and the Software Development processes
• Ideally, you have a background focused on the Java ecosystem, working with modern technologies and Cloud
• You have excellent communication skills to connect with a variety of audiences, from technical to non-technical
• You are comfortable communicating in both English and German (C1)
