Project Manager EV Charging

Your mission

We are seeking an experienced and strategic EV charging Project Manager (located in Munich or Amsterdam) to lead our EV charging business in Sungrow Europe. This role ensures EV charging projects are delivered successfully and engages at a high level with the team leadership to support our expansion in a high-priority growth market. They combine organizational skills, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive results.

Responsibilities

1. Project Planning

   • Define EV charging / EVC + ESS project scope (S,A,B level), goals, and deliverables for different stages
   • Develop detailed project plans, timelines (Gantt charts, schedules), and budgets
   • Identify risks and create mitigation strategies, including high‑quality technical advisory work for pre‑sales activities
   • Provide technical input from initial assessment through technical and economic feasibility of the project and integration with other electrical or generating plants as necessary

2. Team Coordination & Leadership

   • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
   • Facilitate collaboration between cross‑functional teams (commercial, service, product solution, contract & legal, finance, etc.)
   • Motivate and guide the team to meet deadlines
   • Preparation and management of specifications, tendering, and negotiation

3. Stakeholder Communication

   • Act as the main point of contact for clients, executives, and team members
   • Provide regular progress updates (status reports, meetings)
   • Organize regular meetings with key stakeholders and report to internal and external parties
   • Manage expectations and negotiate changes when necessary

4. Project Payment & Resource Management

   • Track project payment milestones and ensure adherence to the program and deadlines
   • Allocate resources efficiently (manpower, tools, materials)

5. Risk & Issue Management

   • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans
   • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that hinder progress

6. Quality Assurance & Delivery

   • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards
   • Conduct post‑project reviews (lessons learned, performance analysis)

Your profile

Now that you are aware of what is required from you, here is what the role requires:

• 2–3+ years in project management leadership or technical experience within EV charging, e‑mobility, energy storage, renewables, or technical infrastructure sectors
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
• Proven experience managing teams and developing customer relationships
• Skilled in solution‑based project management, with strong contract negotiation ability
• In‑depth knowledge and field expertise regarding EV charging / BESS / e‑mobility technologies including emerging technologies and international markets
• Technical advisory experience toward investors, project developers, and experience with new energy plant design and technical advisory support
• Fluent English; Chinese is beneficial
• Willing to travel 10–30% of the time

Project Manager Certifications (Nice to have):

• PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI
• PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments)
• CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) – Entry-level
