Project Manager (m/f/d) for Thermal Energy

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Project Manager (m/f/d) for Thermal Energy at Lahmeyer International GmbH in Bad Vilbel, Germany or at project offices worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage projects in thermal energy across all phases – from initiation through execution to closure.
• Support sales activities by contributing to proposal preparation and tender processes.
• Develop project plans, timelines and resource allocation strategies, steering budgets to ensure financial targets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, contractual obligations and safety regulations.
• Prepare regular progress reports for management and clients.
• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and consultants.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Project Management or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management within energy, infrastructure or water sectors.
• Experience in renewable energy integration and decarbonization strategies is an asset.
• Successful delivery of international projects in the thermal power plant sector.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts, international standards and proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, etc.).
• Project management certification is a plus.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Integrity and client focus in multicultural settings, with strong communication and leadership competencies.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
