ABOUT US
Kauri CAB Digital Infrastructure (KCDI) develops hyperscale data centres in Germany. We are part of the Kauri CAB Group, which has been active since 1998 and has executed more than EUR 4 billion in transaction volume across real estate and infrastructure.
We currently develop around 240 MW of IT capacity (and have a pipeline c. 3x this size), which makes us one of the largest data centre developers in Frankfurt am Main, Continental Europe’s data centre hotspot. We cover the full value chain of a project — from site sourcing, land acquisition and planning permission through financing, construction management and the sale or long-term leasing of the asset — and we work with hyperscalers and leading institutional investors. We are committed to deliver the digital infrastructure that Europe desperately needs.
Our Corporate Development team currently consists of two full-time team members working in very close contact with the two Managing Partners. It identifies and underwrites new opportunities, builds the financial models behind them and manages transactions end to end. The team is deliberately small, which means you will work directly with the people making the decisions and will see every stage of a transaction rather than a single slice of it.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain financial models for acquisitions, developments and exits — including cash flow projections, financing structures, sensitivities and return analyses (IRR, equity multiple, yield on cost)
- Support the full transaction cycle: market screening, site evaluation, due diligence, data room management and coordination with external advisors
- Prepare decision papers, investment memoranda and presentations for management, investors and financing partners
- Analyse the data centre market — supply, capacity pipelines, power availability, rent and yield benchmarks — and translate your findings into actionable recommendations
- Support project controlling across the portfolio, including budget tracking, cost monitoring and reporting
- Take ownership of your own workstreams from day one and grow into broader responsibility as you build experience
WHAT YOU BRING
- A degree (or final-year studies) in business administration, finance, economics, real estate or a comparable field
- First practical experience through internships or working-student roles in investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, infrastructure or real estate
- Confident financial modelling skills in Excel and a structured, accurate way of working with numbers
- Solid PowerPoint skills — you can turn an analysis into a clear, presentable set of slides for management and investors
- Strong analytical thinking: you ask what an assumption rests on before you build on it, and you flag what you do not know
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
- Genuine interest in data centres and the willingness to engage seriously with the asset class — its technology, its economics and its market
Nice to have, but not a requirement:
- Exposure to real estate or infrastructure cash flow logic (NOI, yields, exit valuation, debt structuring)
- Familiarity with German planning and permitting processes, or with power grid connection procedures
WHAT WE OFFER
- Direct involvement in live transactions and developments — no rotation through back-office tasks, no pitch factory
- Short decision-making paths and close collaboration with management
- Diverse tasks, no excel all day, exposure to technical and planning aspects in collaboration with our technical team
- Attractive compensation
- Modern office in central location in Frankfurt am Main, with flexible working arrangements
- Individual development: you will be given responsibility early and supported while you grow into it
