Internship Project Communications

Your mission

The Maritime Spatial Planning/Marine Protected Areas/Multi-Use (3M) team currently manages SUBMARINER Network and s Pro’s participation in 10 different EU-wide projects as well as service contracts, where we provide direct advice to national governments.

Your tasks involve

• Supporting project communications

(70%), including

• Social media management and content creation (Linked In, Instagram).
• Website content development and management.
• Simple graphic design, including social media visuals.
• Development of presentations, brochures, and newsletters.

• Supporting project management and administration (20%), including

• Conducting desk research.
• Developing and organising data in spreadsheets in excel.
• Supporting in the organisation of events and meetings (in-person and online).
• General office or administrative tasks (10%)

Your profile

• You are either enrolled in a university in Germany

OR you are an EU citizen enrolled in university in the EU, ideally in the Communications field or similar.

• You are available for at least 3 months full-time, ideally starting in September or October.
• You are looking for a mandatory internship that is part of your degree.
• You are able to relocate to Berlin for the duration of your internship.
• You are proficient in English. German or another European language is a plus.
• You are a digital native with good knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• You have experience and knowledge in Social Media Management and creating Instagram Reels.
• You possess the ability to create attractive digital content (e. g. Canva, In Design, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
• You can digest and summarise complex information into clear and concise messages, tailored to different target audiences.
• You are a fast learner and can easily switch between conflicting tasks and priorities. You are proactive and solution oriented.
• You are motivated, flexible, and open-minded, and feel comfortable in a multicultural environment.

You communicate effectively and enjoy working together with colleagues and project partners.

• A general understanding of European political processes and institutions, especially around sustainability, climate and environmental protection is a plus, but not mandatory.

About us s Pro - sustainable-projects is a consultancy specialized in the coordination of transnational projects, mostly funded by the European Commission.

Our topical focus lies in projects dealing with the sustainable use of the sea.

We run the permanent secretariat of the

SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth and act as coordinators of the EU Mission Ocean in the Baltic and North Sea. SUBMARINER is the cooperation platform for actors/initiatives across the

Baltic Sea Region and beyond who promote innovative and sustainable uses of marine resources.

We have a long-term portfolio of over

30 large-scale projects and operate with an extensive network of trusted cooperation partners from all European countries, encompassing research, industry, business development, NGOs, and the public sector.

We currently have

40 employees coming from a wide range of different academic backgrounds with more than 15 different nationalities.
