Overview
In this role you lead and develop a global publications team to ensure strategic, compliant medical publications across therapeutic areas. You will standardize processes, govern publication activities, and partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and regional teams to align priorities. You’ll influence governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance while shaping the external scientific narrative and value of publications. This is a high-impact leadership position within the Medical Excellence and Operations leadership team, offering opportunities to drive best practices and organizational outcomes.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage and coach a team of publication managers to foster high performance
- Oversee strategic publication planning and execution across Therapeutic Areas
- Guide governance and industry standards to ensure compliant delivery of publications
- Develop, coordinate, and standardise operational processes and frameworks for publications
- Collaborate with medical colleagues and cross-functional/regional partners to enhance value and demonstrate impact of publications
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Advanced degree (PhD) and/or certification in scientific medical field (e.g., PharmD)
- 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech experience (Medical Affairs/Medical Publications/Scientific Communications)
- Proven leadership track in managing teams and developing talent
- Deep knowledge of scientific and ethical standards with regulatory compliance
- Fluency in English; other European languages are a bonus
- Leadership and team management
- Collaborative team player with cross-cultural sensitivity
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Publication management tools (e.g., Pubstrat)
- Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Familiarity with AI applications in publications
