Senior Process Automation Engineer - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role

As our Senior Process Automation Engineer, you will be the driving force behind scaling our operational efficiency.

Our logistics and partner network is experiencing rapid growth, and we need to transition from manual, spreadsheet-heavy workflows into streamlined, automated processes.

While our central tech teams focus on long-term global infrastructure, your mission is to act as a high-speed local booster.

You will design, build, and deploy tactical automation layers and AI-driven agents to eliminate repetitive manual tasks, optimize real-time communication channels, and free up critical capacity for our operations teams.

This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of software engineering skills, data automation logic, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• End-to-End
• Workflow

Automation: Design and deploy automated pipelines to connect fragmented systems, transforming manual daily data tasks into seamless, automated workflows.

Build internal tools and scripts that save the operational teams hours of administrative overhead each week.

• Real-Time Alerting & Partner

Communication: Develop early-warning and notification systems that monitor live operational KPIs (e. g., service delays, cancellation spikes) and automatically trigger alerts to external partners and internal teams 24/7.

• Data & Quality Intelligence via AI: Leverage AI tools and LLMs to extract insights from unstructured data (such as customer feedback, operation logs, and support tickets) and automatically link them to performance metrics.
• Data Integration & Pipeline

Synchronization: Automate data extraction and injection into master sheets and internal databases to ensure 100% data accuracy and prevent data silos during high-growth phases.

• Finance & Onboarding

Streamlining: Build automated verification logic to simplify complex administrative tasks, such as auditing external invoices or tracking partner onboarding checklists.

• What you will bring to the table
• Experience: Extensive professional experience in Process Automation, Analytics Engineering, Dev Ops, or Operations Consulting (ideally in fast-paced environments like e-commerce, logistics, delivery, or mobility).
• Tech Stack & Integration: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and building custom API connections.

Experience with workflow automation platforms (e. g., n8n, Make. com, Zapier) is a big plus.

• AI & LLM Pragmatism: Hands-on experience using AI APIs, Prompt Engineering, or LLM-driven agents to process data and automate decision-making steps.
• Problem-Solving

Mindset: A strong ability to build quick, stable MVPs and "short-term bridges" that solve operational pain points today, rather than waiting for heavy enterprise software rollouts.

• Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills; ability to sit down with non-technical operations teams, understand their manual pain points, and translate them into automated code.
• Languages: Fluent in English (German is a plus).
