As an internationally recognized personality in research, you will lead the research unit with around 50 employees together with the group leaders. Your diverse area of expertise includes research coordination and development across the unit. You are committed to the targeted implementation of scientific results in practice and in avalanche warning. You are also responsible for acquiring third-party funding for research projects and for cooperation with authorities and organizations at the national and international level. You are cooperating in the further thematical development of SLF.
You are at an advanced stage in your scientific career, have many years of research experience and an excellent scientific track record in the field of avalanche research and its application for avalanche prevention. You have several years of experience in leading research groups and managing interdisciplinary research projects. In addition, you are an integrative personality with strong negotiation skills and are fluent in at least one of Switzerland’s national languages as well as written and spoken English.
