Interim CFO (m/f/d) 60-100%

For a customer, a privately funded medical device company, we are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage their financial operations. With a pending Series A funding round involving venture capital firms, the company is seeking an expert who can ensure accurate financial management and compliance with both Swiss and international accounting standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing the company for its next growth phase and must be available to start immediately for a minimum duration of 6 months.Interim CFO Medical Devices (m/f/d) 60-100%Key Responsibilities:Accounting Compliance:Manage & oversee the cleanup and reorganization of the company’s financial records, ensuring alignment with Swiss accounting standards and international financial reporting standards.Implement efficient accounting processes and systems to maintain ongoing compliance and accuracy. This may require hands-on support.Regulatory and Tax Compliance:Ensure timely filing of tax declarations and compliance with Swiss tax regulations.Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.Financial Leadership:Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.Ensure robust internal controls and risk management procedures are in place.Provide financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team to inform decision-making.Series A Fundraising Support:Collaborate with the executive team to prepare financial reports and data for due diligence and investor presentations.Support negotiations and interactions with venture capitalists and other stakeholders in the Series A funding round.Qualification:Proven experience as a CFO, financial controller, or senior finance executive, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment, with a hands-on mindset.Deep knowledge of Swiss and international accounting standards; experience transitioning financial systems to meet these standards is highly desirable.Track record of supporting successful fundraising efforts, especially with venture capital firms.Strong technical accounting and financial management expertise.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Fluent in English, French, and German (spoken and written).Able to start immediately and commit to a minimum of 6 months.Offer:A unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing medical device company.Competitive remuneration based on experience.The chance to work on a high-visibility Series A funding round and influence the company’s future direction.A pivotal role within a high-tech practice.A collaborative and supportive team environment.A diverse range of exciting and challenging projects that promote continuous learning.Minimum of 6 month interim contract.Start immediately or in January.Our client offers a very exciting position with plenty of room for growth.
