Overview
In this role you will develop and manage engineering reinsurance business focused on France, while supporting other EMEA markets. You work with a diverse team to assess technical risk, negotiate terms, and deliver tailored solutions that strengthen clients’ resilience. You’ll drive growth by deepening relationships with insurers and brokers and contributing to innovation in engineering reinsurance. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to shape the French engineering market and collaborate across global teams.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Underwrite Engineering treaty and facultative business with a primary focus on France, including technical/actuarial assessment, wording review, and client negotiations
- Perform post-underwriting activities: risk surveys, reserve setting, account servicing, and claims support
- Source and develop new Engineering business by strengthening insurer/broker relationships and promoting Swiss Re as the preferred partner
- Strengthen Swiss Re's leadership in the French engineering reinsurance market aligned with strategy
- Provide competent client service, including advice, trainings, and workshops
- Drive product innovation with clients to create tailored, client-specific solutions
- Enhance external visibility on Engineering topics via market events, publications, and social networks
- Collaborate across units to identify/develop new opportunities in Transactions and Solutions
- Contribute to the Swiss Re Global Engineering community through knowledge sharing and research initiatives
- Support strategic initiatives for the Special Lines business
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree in scientific or commercial field; Engineering/Actuarial/Computer Science qualifications are an advantage
- 3+ years in (re)insurance or high potential candidates with relevant experience
- Proficiency in English and French (spoken/written) required for client engagement
- Strong analytical skills; ability to work under pressure and in ambiguity
