Job description:

About the Role:

Our client in the banking industry is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will:

• Work in a Scrum team within an agile organisation.
• Build a secure cloud foundation on Azure and contribute to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Landing Zone setup.
• Implement and manage the Azure platform, including creating and updating landing zones, policies, and platform services.
• Collaborate with the cloud architect and enterprise architect to align platform implementation with architecture and governance standards.
• Support and maintain the cloud platform, handling bug fixes, updates, and performance improvements.

Your Skills and Experience:

You will thrive in this role if you bring:

• Full professional proficiency in German (an absolute must) to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of core cloud services, including networking, IaaS, and configuration management.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly IaaS, PaaS, network services, security services (e.g., Defender), and Azure AD.
• Experience with cloud migrations and cloud adoption strategies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, such as CI/CD and automation.
• Strong skills in infrastructure such as code, preferably with Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an understanding of cloud-native tools and services.
