Our client, an international commodity trading company, is looking for an experienced Grains & Oilseeds Business Controller to join its team in Lausanne. In this key business partnering role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the Grains & Oilseeds division. You will oversee daily and monthly financial reporting, coordinate the budgeting process, strengthen internal controls, and manage a Middle Office/Controlling team (2 FTEs). You will also act as Business Process Owner (BPO) for the Controlling function, driving process improvements and supporting the global Trade-to-Cash operating model. Key Responsibilities Lead the Middle Office function, ensuring: daily reconciliation of contracts against broker and external statements, daily reconciliation of trading positions, monitoring of FX hedge coverage, daily calculation of trading positions, P&L and risk exposure Coordinate monthly closing activities, including: Mark-to-Market valuation, realised P&L reviews with Trading and Operations, Gross Margin reconciliation Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting and business performance analysis Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process Partner closely with Trading and Operations leadership, providing financial insights to support business decisions Ensure robust internal controls and compliance across the Trade-to-Cash process Promote consistency of financial KPIs and reporting across the organisation Own and maintain Controlling documentation, including process documentation, user guides, templates and training material Drive continuous improvement of finance and controlling processes Your Profile Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline Around 10 years of experience within a commodity trading environment, ideally in Middle Office, Controlling or Trade Accounting Previous experience in Grains and/or Oilseeds Strong understanding of front-to-back commodity trading operations Hands-on, analytical and solution-oriented mindset Excellent organisational and leadership skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment Fluent English (additional languages are an advantage) Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly Knowledge of Aspect CTRM is considered a plus What's on Offer A key finance role with significant exposure to senior business stakeholders Opportunity to work in a fast-paced international commodity trading environment Leadership responsibilities combined with hands-on operational involvement Long-term career opportunity within a global organisation j4id10299355a j4it0728a j4iy26a
