Librarian / Information Manager (AI & Knowledge Services) Swisslinx is supporting an international organisation based in Basel who are seeking an experienced Librarian / Information Manager to support the transformation of its library into a modern, AI-enabled knowledge centre.
Librarian / Information Manager (AI & Knowledge Services) Job description: Deliver advanced literature searching, reference and research support to internal stakeholders.
Produce research briefings, current awareness bulletins and curated information resources.
Manage the development and maintenance of print and digital collections.
Administer library platforms, discovery tools and metadata.
Create and maintain high-quality catalogue records, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.
Manage electronic resources, subscriptions, licensing and supplier relationships.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve information access and user experience.
Identify, pilot and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve library services and knowledge management.
Contribute to digital transformation, metadata improvement and library systems projects.
Develop curated information resources and datasets to support AI-assisted research.
Monitor service performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Working within a small Information Governance & Management team, you'll play a key role in enabling researchers and subject experts to discover, access and make effective use of high-quality information resources.
This role combines traditional library services with digital innovation, information management and AI-enabled service development.
Requirements: You'll be an experienced library or information professional who enjoys combining excellent customer service with technology and innovation.
The following skills are mandatory: Approximately 3–5 years' experience working independently in a professional library, research library or information management environment.
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Library & Information Science, Information Management or a related discipline.
Experience delivering literature searching, research support or reference services.
Practical experience administering library systems and digital information platforms.
Experience with metadata standards, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.
Exposure to digital transformation, AI implementation, metadata remediation or library systems projects.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
