- Design, develop and maintain embedded software solutions using C and C++.
- Develop and enhance software applications for production testing, calibration and verification.
- Support the migration of existing software solutions to a new development environment.
- Contribute to software architecture, technical design and implementation decisions.
- Develop reliable, maintainable and scalable software using object-oriented programming principles.
- Work with real-time operating systems, concurrent processes and distributed software components.
- Integrate software with electronic hardware and troubleshoot hardware/software interactions.
- Collaborate with engineering, production and testing teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Support software testing, debugging, optimization and continuous improvement.
About The Customer
For our client, a leading Swiss technology company developing innovative solutions in the field of advanced electronic devices, we are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++) to join an established engineering team.
You will play a key role in the development and modernization of embedded software solutions used for production testing, calibration and verification. This is a hands-on technical position offering the opportunity to contribute to software architecture, influence technical decisions and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.
- Practical experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Good understanding of concurrency, multithreading and distributed systems.
- Experience with hardware/software integration and the ability to read electronic schematics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently develop technical solutions.
- Experience with software testing, debugging and verification.
- Fluent in English, German in a plus
Nice To Have
- Experience with modern C++ standards, particularly C++23.
- Knowledge of Python or C#/.NET.
- Experience with automated production testing or calibration systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- German language skills.
