Job description: The Banking Department is initiating a multi-year project to modernize its data platform and improve data governance. An experienced Business and Data Analyst is needed to collaborate with various business areas (e.g., Risk, Finance, Front/Middle/Back Office) to support this transition. Applications are open to mid-level to early senior candidates. Requirements: Collaborate with business areas to understand their data needs and requirements. Define requirements for data products, including table schemas, in collaboration with business stakeholders. Design data models that meet business requirements and support efficient data retrieval and analysis. Assist in the creation of data workloads such as reports, queries, spreadsheets, and dashboards in the new data lakehouse platform. Develop and execute test plans to ensure accuracy and completeness. Write and optimise SQL queries to support the creation and validation of the data workloads. Document processes, data models, and any changes to business workflows. Competences: Proven experience in data projects, preferably within financial services, commercial banking or a similar industry. (****) Deep understanding of business areas such as Middle Office, Risk, or Finance, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimise complex queries. (***) Strong experience in data modelling, including the design of table schemas and data structures. (***) Familiarity with data platforms and modern data architecture principles. (***) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
