Senior Project Procurement Manager (m/f/d) – Swisslog Dortmund

Location: Dortmund, North Rhine‑Westphalia, Germany

Responsibilities

• Manage all direct materials used in projects for the EMEA region.
• Collaborate with the Product Center to align make‑or‑buy decisions with long‑term strategic goals.
• Negotiate with suppliers to evaluate the best price‑performance ratio.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and specifications and establish the project roadmap.
• Develop supplier ratings, organize reviews, and support supplier audits.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of the Purchase Request workflow.
• Track procurement‑relevant KPIs.

Application Requirements

• Engineering or commercial degree with strong technical knowledge.
• Several years of experience in operative and strategic procurement.
• Supply chain management experience in comparable industries and project‑oriented solutions.
• Excellent negotiation skills and strong knowledge of contract and local regulations.
• Experience managing transregional projects with multiple sites.
• Proficiency in SAP R3 MM, focusing on purchasing transactions.
• Fluent in English.
