Job Description
As the Associated-Director in the Middle Office department, you will be in charge of the Post-Execution team. Reporting directly to the Head Post-Execution Vice-Director, you will be responsible for the supervision of operational activities and people management in accordance with your senior management.
Team Management:
- Leading and supporting a team:
- Fostering a positive work atmosphere where employees feel motivated, valued, and connected to the team and the organization.
- Promoting collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members.
- Addressing any potential conflicts among team members to your senior management and/or HR Partner.
- Supporting employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching, and advancement opportunities.
- Hiring:
- Leading the recruitment process with your Talent Acquisition Partner.
- Ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific roles.
- Performance Management: Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.
- Conducting underperformance processes with the help of your Senior Management and HR Partner.
Operations management:
- Lead the team’s operational tasks: Booking and validation of trades of all asset classes (securities, forex, derivatives) with respect to value dates, creation and valorization of financial instruments, trade monitoring and reconciliation.
- Conduct specific investigations (settlement issues or reconciliation breaks).
- Initiate and guide internal projects to improve internal tools and optimize processes.
- Set up and follow up on KPIs (workload, team performance, and projections).
- Manage relationships with traders and counterparts.
- Assist Senior leadership in the strategic planning of the Middle Office activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years track record in a Back-Office department.
- Previous experience in a leadership role is an advantage.
- Very good knowledge and previous experience in the Post-execution field.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Strong managerial skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members to achieve objectives effectively.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, results-oriented, team player.
