Overview As Associate-Director in Compliance, you lead the Monitoring team, ensuring effective AML/review processes for high-risk crypto and fiat transfers. You partner with senior management to embed monitoring in business initiatives and guide teams through complex investigations. You’ll optimize procedures, govern sanctions handling, and provide pragmatic compliance advice. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership in a fast-growing, tech-driven bank. Verantwortungsbereiche Lead and manage the Compliance Monitoring team: coordination, performance management, and development Oversee AML reviews of crypto transfers and higher-risk transactions across cash, securities, and crypto Supervise sanctions alerts handling with escalation and final validation Oversee investigations of potentially suspicious clients Drive optimization of internal procedures; draft and update policies and guidelines Represent Compliance in regulatory and strategic projects, embedding monitoring in business initiatives Advise senior management and front-line teams with clear, pragmatic compliance guidance Lead recruitment with Talent Acquisition Partner; ensure smooth onboarding and culture alignment Set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and manage under-performance processes Foster a collaborative, motivated team culture; mentor and develop staff Promote cross-functional collaboration and conflict resolution with HR and senior management Zentrale Anforderungen University degree in Law, Economics, or related field 5–7 years of experience in a Compliance function within financial services Proven leadership and team management skills Fluent in English and French; German is a strong asset Strong analytical mindset and methodical approach Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills Collaborative leader in a multicultural, tech-driven environment collaborative leadership strong communication decision-making under pressure AML monitoring sanctions screening crypto/crypto currency transfers compliance
