Overview
As Crypto Compliance Officer in the Monitoring Team, you ensure AML/CTF-compliant handling of digital asset activity. You will perform due diligence, investigate blockchain activity, and assess Source of Funds/Wealth for clients, supporting regulatory projects and internal policy improvements. You’ll train colleagues and provide guidance on digital tools, while liaising with regulators and FINMA. This role combines regulatory vigilance with practical process optimization in a fast-growing, international bank.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Review and validate digital asset deposits and withdrawals from an AML/CTF perspective within the delegation framework
- Perform crypto due diligence and blockchain investigations (alerts, wallets, counterparties, high-risk exposure)
- Assess and document clients’ Source of Funds and Source of Wealth related to digital assets
- Identify and escalate potentially suspicious activities and sanctions exposure to the relevant Compliance teams
- Participate in regulatory projects related to digital assets and optimize internal processes and guidelines
- Draft, review, and maintain internal policies, procedures, and guidelines for digital assets and crypto activities
- Provide training and support to new employees on operational processes; advise Compliance teams on digital tools and systems
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities, counterparties, and FINMA on digital assets and crypto compliance
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Law or Economics) or proven relevant AML/CTF experience with digital assets
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a financial institution or AML/CTF compliance focused on digital assets
- Proven blockchain analysis and crypto due diligence experience, with SFO/SOW assessments
- Experience with blockchain analytics tools such as Lukka, TRM Labs, Chainalysis or equivalents
- Knowledge of Swiss AML laws (AMLA, AMLO-FINMA, CDB) and related regulations
- Excellent command of English and French; other languages a plus
- Analytical, methodical mindset with strong writing and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
