We are seeking an experienced AP Lead to own the global procure-to-pay (P2P) process in a centralized, multi-entity environment.

This role is responsible for AP execution quality, invoice throughput, payment accuracy, tax correctness, and AP-related close discipline, with a strong emphasis on system-enabled efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.

The AP Lead is a key partner to Accounting and FP&A, ensuring accurate departmental allocations, clean accruals, and proper budget alignment within P2P systems to support a predictable T+5 monthly close.

Every hire must demonstrate at least Level 1. The expected level will vary depending on the seniority of the role.

What you’ll be doing

• Own and manage the end-to-end accounts payable and P2P process.
• Lead and develop AP Specialists and Trainees.
• Enforce invoice, expense, and cutoff discipline to support a T+5 close.
• Oversee invoice processing, coding, approvals, and posting.
• Review and approve payment runs.
• Prepare and review AP accruals in partnership with FP&A.
• Ensure accurate department and cost center allocations.
• Support budget integration and controls within P2P systems.
• Own vendor master data governance.
• Ensure correct VAT treatment, with a strong focus on Portuguese tax requirements.
• Resolve escalated vendor, allocation, and tax-related issues.
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and Systems teams on continuous improvement initiatives.

What you need to have

• Portuguese Chartered Accountant - strongly preferred.
• 5-7+ years of AP or accounting operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese VAT and local tax requirements.
• Proven experience leading AP operations in a centralized environment.
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with FP&A.
• Experience in multi-entity and/or international organizations.
• Strong process mindset with attention to detail and controls.
• Comfortable operating in high-volume transaction environments.
• Systems & Implementation Experience (Strong Plus).
• Net Suite AP experience (vendor master, invoice processing, approvals, payments).
• Hands‑on participation in an AP / P2P system implementation, such as: Tipalti, Stampli, Coupa, ZIP or similar.

Experience with workflow and close coordination tools (e. g., Flo Qast).

• Exposure to budget controls, coding rules, or validation logic within P2P systems.

Actual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, location, market demand, and other factors.

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary and any potential variable, bonus or sales incentives, and the Company’s estimation of the value of private company stock options, if applicable.

The pay range is subject to change, future value of company stock options is not guaranteed, and compensation may be modified in the future.
