With a strong presence in over 50 countries, we are now looking to expand our footprint in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and are seeking an experienced Sales Leader to spearhead our growth initiatives.

Role Overview

As the Sales Leader for the DACH region, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and building and managing a high-performing sales team. This is a critical leadership role that requires a deep understanding of the DACH market, exceptional sales acumen, and the ability to navigate complex business environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the DACH region, aligned with the company's global objectives and tailored to local market dynamics.
  • Revenue Growth: Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets, consistently driving year-over-year growth in the DACH market.
  • Team Building and Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities within the DACH region, expanding our customer base and product penetration.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, serving as the face of the company in high-level negotiations and strategic discussions.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously refine and improve sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and maximize customer value.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and return on investment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in the technology sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in the DACH region
  • Deep understanding of the DACH market, including business practices, cultural nuances, and regulatory environment
  • Excellent command of German and English; proficiency in other DACH languages (e.g., Swiss German, Austrian German) is a plus
  • Strong network of contacts and relationships within the DACH technology ecosystem
  • Experience in building and scaling high-performing sales teams
