About the role We are looking for a seasoned Communications Manager with a broad skillset to support Sygnum’s external communications activities. Sitting within the Marketing and Communications team in Zurich, you will protect, grow and enhance Sygnum’s brand with external audiences and communities, working closely with stakeholders across the business including technology, operations, legal and executive leadership.
AI‑first AI‑native candidates preferred. At a minimum, you must have hands‑on experience using a range of AI tools in your daily work. Candidates who can clearly demonstrate practical, results‑driven use of AI will be prioritised. In this role you will be expected to:
Use AI platforms for research, drafting press releases, pitches and briefing notes, analysis and reporting
Use AI‑powered media monitoring and intelligence platforms for coverage tracking, sentiment analysis and share‑of‑voice
Apply AI within social media management tools for content drafting, scheduling, optimal send‑time and performance analytics
Use AI for social listening, competitor analysis and audience insight to inform strategy and continually optimise growth
Continually evaluate emerging AI tools and embed the best of them into our communications workflows to scale reach, quality and efficiency
The role This is a broad external communications role with two areas of particular emphasis: public relations and strategic community management.
Public relations You will own external communications and media relations end‑to‑end:
Manage the full announcement cycle — writing and distributing press releases, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, pitching the news and managing interviews
Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors and media outlets
Secure media commentary and thought‑leadership opportunities, and news‑jack relevant market narratives with Sygnum insight, research and market data
Develop key messages, briefing notes and Q&A, and prepare spokespeople for interviews and media engagements
Run media monitoring and coverage tracking, with sentiment analysis and share‑of‑voice
Report on PR performance and analytics, translating coverage into clear insight and recommendations
Manage external PR agencies and partners to deliver efficiently and to a high standard
Community management You will own the community social media strategy and growth, with a strong focus on LinkedIn:
Lead the strategy for end‑to‑end social media management, from content planning and posting strategy through to drafting, scheduling and publishing
Grow followers, engagement and reach on LinkedIn through a deliberate, data‑led content and posting strategy
Plan and manage paid social and promotional campaigns
Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities
Continually optimise performance using analytics to drive sustained growth
Integrated marketing & communications Highly valued is the ability to support broader, integrated communications, including:
Physical events, webinars and livestreams, social media (paid and organic), digital advertising
General marketing activities and the ability to support, pick up and deliver a diverse range of projects across the team
Native‑level German and fluent English — mandatory
Open, energetic and team‑oriented high performer, eager to contribute in a high‑growth environment
Hands‑on experience using a range of AI tools in daily work — AI‑native strongly preferred
Experience in digital assets, fintech and traditional finance with knowledge of financial products in a regulated environment— essential
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in a dedicated communications role;
Proven experience PR agency experience highly valued for workflow efficiency and industry contacts. Strong knowledge of the Swiss media landscape, key publications and journalists — highly prized
Excellent written communication skills, with proven experience drafting press releases, articles, reports and presentations
Highly adaptable, strong at prioritising, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Experience working cross‑border with global teams
