Accounting Manager (100%)
Mission
Oversee all general accounting, supplier and customer operations, ensure the production and consolidation of group accounts, monitor cash flow, and manage the accounting team on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
General accounting and closings
- Supervision of the complete general accounting maintenance - Organisation and management of monthly, quarterly and annual closings - Critical review of complex entries (provisions, accruals, stock, fixed assets) - Coordination with external audit and preparation of audit files
Accounts payable (AP)
- Validation of supplier payments and management of schedules - Monitoring payment terms - Handling supplier disputes in liaison with purchasing - Implementation and monitoring of internal controls (segregation of duties)
Accounts receivable (AR)
- Monitoring customer receivables, reminders and credit control management - Customer risk analysis and provisions for doubtful debts - Support to sales management on payment terms
Cash management and factoring
- Management of daily and forecasted cash flow - Preparation of cash-flow forecasts (short term, rolling 13 weeks) - Management of banking relationships - Monitoring and optimisation of credit lines - Operational management of factoring (assignment of receivables, reconciliations, costs)
Group consolidation and reporting
- Organisation and execution of subsidiary consolidation - Migrating consolidation from CO to IFRS - Harmonisation of group accounting practices - Implementation of consolidation software
Interface with Swiss and international tax advisors
Supervision of VAT declarations (CH and EU if applicable)
Compliance with Swiss legal obligations (Code of Obligations)
Implementation and documentation of internal accounting procedures
Ensure a high level of employee engagement within the department, manage and evaluate direct reports, while ensuring effective recruitment, development and talent retention.
Profile sought
- Holder of a Federal Diploma as a Specialist in Finance and Accounting or equivalent qualification - Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior accounting and consolidation role, preferably in the industrial sector - Proficiency in IFRS standards - Proven first experience as a team manager - Excellent command of common IT tools (especially Excel) and ERP systems - Versatile and autonomous, able to get hands-on operationally and interact comfortably with management and operational staff - Good managerial skills, dynamic and rigorous person, perfectly at ease working cross-functionally with diverse interlocutors - Reliability, integrity, leadership and a positive attitude - You speak and write French and English fluently. German would be a plus.
