Symrise – always inspiring more…Your Role The IT Service Financial Analyst is responsible for the methodical maintenance, enhancement, and quality assurance of the IT Service Catalogue, as well as for the transparent and accurate allocation of all IT costs to services and business services.
This role acts as a central interface between Domains, Core IT, Finance, License Management, and Corporate Controlling, ensuring a consistent, traceable, and audit‑proof cost structure across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Service Catalogue Management Ensure that all IT services are completely, accurately, and consistently reflected in the IT Service Catalogue.
Govern and ensure quality of service descriptions, service levels, cost drivers, and allocation logic.
Coordinate with Domains to ensure timely integration of new services, changes, or service retirements.
Maintain transparency and traceability of service structures: Technical Services Business Services.
IT Cost Allocation Execute and control the full allocation of all relevant IT costs (licenses, infrastructure, cloud, personnel, etc.) to services and business services.
Ensure transparent representation of cost structures, cost drivers, and allocation models.
Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, and cost allocation frameworks.
Ensure audit and tax compliance of allocation methods.
Data Management & Reporting Consolidate and supports to ensure the quality of underlying data sources (e. g., ERP, CMDB, application cost data).
Prepare regular reports on service costs, variances, consumption, and cost drivers.
Support forecasting, budget preparations, and cost analyses.
Stakeholder & Interface Management Collaborate closely with: Finance & Corporate Controlling (budgeting, KPIs, reporting)License & Cloud Management (accurate cost and consumption allocation)Domains / Product Teams (service updates and technical input)Core IT & Infrastructure (technical services, operational cost drivers)Tax & Audit (documentation, compliance) Continuous Improvement Identify optimization opportunities in processes, allocation logic, and data quality.
Support automation initiatives (e. g., ERP–CMDB–Financial Tool integrations).
Maintain and further develop the service catalogue process and associated governance standards.
About You Experience in IT financial management, service catalogue management, or IT controlling.
Strong understanding of IT services, technical services, business services, and their dependencies.
Excellent knowledge of cost accounting, allocation logic, and financial KPIs.
Experience with tools such as ERP systems, CMDB, Service Now, Apptio, or similar is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis.
Structured and analytical working style.
High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical and financial topics for stakeholders.
Ability to coordinate across interfaces and collaborate effectively across departments.
