Salzburg, Austria Job ID: 18775 We are seeking a highly talented Hospital Specialist to drive the commercial success of an innovative endocrinology portfolio within an assigned European country or territory. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team and make a meaningful impact on patient care across endocrinology and metabolic health. This role requires a deep understanding of the hospital and specialist care environment, including patient pathways, treatment guidelines, and key decision-making networks. You will develop and execute local business plans to achieve commercial objectives while delivering high-quality, scientific, compliant, and insight-driven customer engagements through both face-to-face and virtual channels. RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage an assigned territory, identifying and developing high-value interactions with endocrinologists, diabetologists, specialist nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare stakeholders aligned to the endocrinology strategy. Deliver scientifically robust, compliant, and differentiated customer engagements that establish credibility and trusted partnerships. Develop and execute territory business plans within agreed budgets and timelines to achieve regional and national objectives. Utilise customer insights, market data, and analytics to optimise account prioritisation, targeting, and resource allocation. Maintain a high level of expertise in endocrinology, clinical data, treatment pathways, and product knowledge through ongoing training and development. Effectively use CRM and digital engagement tools to support territory planning, account management, and hybrid customer interactions. Present approved clinical and product information to appropriate healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary stakeholders in accordance with local regulations, the product label and company policies. Support approved promotional and educational activities on the appropriate use of therapies, ensuring that scientific or medical enquiries outside the role’s remit are referred through the appropriate company process. Identify, engage, and build relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical champions within endocrinology and metabolic medicine. Work collaboratively with sales leadership and relevant marketing, medical and operational colleagues, maintaining clear role boundaries and sharing field insights to support coordinated account activity and business decisions. REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success launching and promoting complex products within hospital, specialist or secondary-care environments. Experience working within endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, metabolic health, or closely related therapy areas is highly desirable. Strong understanding of hospital decision-making processes, treatment pathways, and account management principles. Proven ability to engage customers effectively through face-to-face, remote, and digital channels. Experience planning and delivering compliant pharmaceutical promotional meetings, congress activities and other approved customer-engagement events. Excellent communication, influencing, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical, planning, and organisational capabilities. Track record of collaborating effectively with sales leadership and relevant marketing, medical and operational colleagues while respecting functional responsibilities and compliance boundaries. Competent in the use of CRM systems and approved digital engagement platforms, with a consistent approach to planning, accurate activity recording, customer-data quality, insight capture and timely follow-up. Self-motivated, accountable, and results-oriented with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset. Desirable experience engaging with endocrinologists, diabetologists, obesity specialists, metabolic physicians, specialist nurses, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams. Candidates must meet all local legal and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical representatives in the country of employment. A bachelor's degree in life sciences or equivalent relevant experience is preferred. A valid driving licence and the ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory are required.
