Overview
In this role you lead a small lab team to develop and scale-up chemical reactions toward manufacturing, while supporting pilot campaigns. You will maintain process know-how at the chemistry–data interface and ensure safe, sustainable experiments. You collaborate with project stakeholders to transfer knowledge and drive improvements. This position offers hands-on impact on scalable processes within a global agricultural science company.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead a team of 1-3 lab technicians in a chemistry lab to execute experiments and pilot campaigns
- Ensure HSE standards and good laboratory practices are applied
- Design lab experiments and pilot campaigns to generate process understanding
- Maintain documentation of lab results and project requirements
- Support process know-how transfers and collaboration with project stakeholders
- Prepare inputs for cost estimates and support improvement projects
- Ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with development lifecycle stages
- Support the department in specialist roles
Zentrale Anforderungen
- PhD in organic chemistry or chemical engineering (Post Doc typical)
- Practical experience in organic chemistry
- Fluent English; German and French advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex information
- Track record delivering within project timelines in dynamic environments
- Experience in data science, statistics, modelling, automation or process analytical techniques or collaboration with experts in these fields
